Applicants should be very comfortable with Ruby on Rails, PHP, and MySQL. Applicants should be capable of writing clean, and secure code. Experience with agile development practices desired, and a strong drive for incremental improvement of code, process, and self a must. -- Good logic and critical thinking skills -- Strong Ruby on Rails skills (minimum 2 years) -- Ability to work in highly agile, test driven development (Test::Unit, Rspec) -- MVC knowledge and experience along with Rails best practices for working with MVC -- Unix/Linux/FreeBSD -- MySQL / PostgreSQL -- Subversion / Git -- Capistrano -- Rubygems -- Passionate about your work -- Self discipline â must work hard without much intervention -- Good communication -- Desire to have fun and support our clients goals Desired Skills ---------------- -- Large scale application experience -- Comfortable with Unix/Linux shells (bash, sh, korn, csh, etc.) and scripting them -- Requirements/User story gathering -- Experience working on an agile team using Scrum, XP or some other named agile practice -- Experience working with a distributed team
